Antonio Brown keeps beefing with NFL players, and it may get him suspended

first_imgAntonio Brown is not on an NFL roster at the moment, and that means he has entirely too much free time on his hands.The former Patriots, Raiders and Steelers receiver has been sending out — and subsequently deleting — posts on Twitter over the past week. The posts range from supporting threats aimed at a Sports Illustrated writer, to declaring he is not playing football, to saying actually he is playing football and now picking fights with other NFL players. He also completely butchered the famous Muhammad Ali quote, “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.” He instead posted, “Float a [bee emoji]. Mayfield was responding to someone who commented on his Instagram post. After seeing this, Brown responded on Twitter. “Sorry ass Chico keep rolling right you ain’t done nothing in this league the internet only place u would ever talk too or about me; you know u get beat quick slice u up some humble pie,” Brown tweeted, and then later deleted.Should of never been drafted before Lamar Jackson what a big scam— AB (@AB84) September 28, 2019As for Brown’s current standing with the NFL, the league is still investigating the allegations levied against the receiver. Brown was accused of rape by his former trainer, and a Sports Illustrated article revealed he was also accused of sexual misconduct.The NFL released a statement last week saying there’s no need to take immediate action on Brown as he’s not currently on a team. But the statement suggested Brown would be placed on the commissioner’s exempt list if a team signs him in the near future. (Instagram)
