This let to a number of estates and roads being badly littered with phone directories on the weekend following their distribution.“Because there was bad weather the problem was made worse because the directories were wet and torn and spread all over the place, making it harder to clear up the litter problem,” he said.Cllr Kavanagh will raise the issue at the next council meeting on Monday next. He will ask the council to write to Eircom and ask them to consider a different means of distribution, so that the directories are not left lying on doorsteps, or to make the directory available on CDs or USB sticks, and distribute them thus, or to arrange for customers to collect the directories, if they really need a hard copy.“I think such a move would be more economical for Eircom, given the number of directories that are being destroyed, in the current system,” he said. \\ENDS COUNCILLOR WANTS TO THROW THE ‘BOOK’ AT EIRCOM was last modified: December 6th, 2013 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:Cllr Jimmy KavanaghEircomphonebookslast_img
