Cllr Doherty said “We are asking people to ignore the weather if they can for a small period. Our march is relatively short, ending at the Market Square, and our speakers will not take longer than a half hour. So really we are looking at around an hour from start to finish.“We in Right2Water Donegal know that the people of the County are behind our campaign. We seen this in the November demonstrations and in the protests against meter installations which have been vigorous in all areas thus far. The people of Donegal are to be commended for their actions and commitment to removing water charges, and we are appealing to them to come out and support today’s march.“It is absolutely vital that we send the message to the Government that our campaign is as strong as ever, and we will not rest until Irish Water and waste charges are scrapped.”Right2Water Donegal Demonstration – Assemble today, Saturday, 2pm, Mr Chippie.
