There’s plenty of room and funding for another division, right?“We’re doing a tremendous amount of work in space,” he said at the time. “I said, ‘Maybe we need a new force. We’ll build a space force.’ And I was not really serious. And then I said, ‘What a great idea. Maybe we’ll have to do that. That could happen. That could be the big breaking story.’”Except, it’s not a novel idea: The House Armed Services Committee in 2017 voted to create a U.S. Space Corps, which would absorb the Air Force’s current celestial missions. If approved, the Space Force would become the nation’s first new military service since 1947.More on Carell to Lead New Netflix Series Inspired by Trump’s Space ForceVote For Your Favorite ‘Space Force’ LogoU.S. Air Force Creates Space Mission Force to Prevent War in Space Stay on targetlast_img
